What a week it has been! I missed last night's run, but made up for it with a weights session at the gym this morning. ‘Twas a wonderful way to start the day (and end the working week!)
Work has been busy this week, and so has the Mystery Box. I just realised that I have ticked off 5 ingredients from the Mystery Box since Sunday. Did you miss them?
So as to give the Mystery Box a reprieve from inspiration, and me a reprieve from cooking, Mr BBB's mum made a lovely tuna risotto for dinner this evening..
Topped with rocket and spinach.
In other exciting news, I purchased this gorgeous notebook today.
You see, my 'organisation' when it comes to jotting down ideas for recipes, dinner etc has been quite chaotic lately, resulting in piles of papers accumulating in my car, at work, in the kitchen, in the bedroom.....you get the idea....
So, I figured it was about time that I purchased a little notebook to keep them all in one place.
Time for some quality Friday night TV. I have a few fun things planned this weekend so stay tuned....
What about you? How do you keep track of your food, recipe, blog ideas?
Happy baking :)

I have horrendously long word documents on my computer that are in size 6 font... :D And far more Internet bookmarks than I could ever keep track of. I'm determined to remember about your polenta recipe though! That looked soooo good!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Fingers crossed for some nicer weather this weekend, hey? Ugh winter ugh...
Heyhey. Got that Brain Training book that I think I won from you today....
ReplyDeleteI'm useless at keepign Ideas. Usually I just take photos of my thoughts and get back to them later.
I have a notebook on my bedside table so I can jot down ideas when I wake in the night. I also have one in my handbag, one in my catering file, one in my recipe file, one for just dinner parties.... and still end up jotting down ideas on the back of reciepts in my car.So sad.. I once held up the line in Medicare because I suddenly realised I had a recipe idea of my doctors bill and couldn't part with it! Maybe I need counselling?
ReplyDeleteI keep track of my recipe/food ideas in this teeny little notebook by my laptop. I need to get a nicer one like you have!
ReplyDeleteAnd to answer your question from your comment, the kiwi went wonnnderfully in the overnight oats. Not sure how it would be in regular oats though!
Good idea! I have a notepad that I jot down recipes and ideas on and just before shopping I look at it and see what inspiration strikes! :D
ReplyDeleteI have a three-tiered system: everything starts on my beloved scrap paper (1)... and if they're repeat-worthy, they get typed up (2) and put in my kitchen binder(3)--and having them typed on my computer ALSO lets me re-create faves when I go away.
ReplyDeleteIn looking at your post, I feel like Saturday's meal should have to use *all five* of the Mystery Box ingredients--like a round-up kitchen challenge! ;)
Heyy girly! I just came across your blog and absolutely love it! You have a new follower!

Love that notebook design and the color too! I am obsessed with cool notebooks. I buy them all the time and have no use for them.
ReplyDeleteLove the notebook! Great color!
ReplyDeleteRight now, I don't have any way to keep track of that stuff.. I really would love to do that though, I'm all about organization : )
Gorgeous dish!
ReplyDeleteI honestly have no organization skills when it comes to recipes. I keep some bookmarked in my browser, some books are stuffed on the shelves, some bits of paper in the cabinet. They're all over the place, lol!
@ S - oooh what a great idea! I will have to schedule in a "round up" Mystery Box Challenge! Could be quite the challenge indeed :)
ReplyDeleteCute notebook! I have a bit of a 'thing' for stationery.
