It was with some horror that I realised today is the 4th June! Oh my - how quickly this year is passing me by.
Did you miss my previous monthly recaps? Check them out here:
To be honest, however, May really was a busy month in our household, so I am not that surprised that it disappeared quickly.
Starting with a half marathon and a race PR!
And lots of Mystery Box ingredients including cornmeal, cauliflower, leek, potato flour, carrots and peas.
There was granola baking …
Road trips to Melbourne …
And Mother's Day breakfast...
A house move and finishing with a muddy bike race …
And in fitness news - I ran 76.1km and biked 72km. Not a bad effort given that I missed a fair few sessions due to moving house (and all the usual drama that goes with it!).
Overall this was a fantastic month - filled with family, fun and fresh ingredients. Given the cool weather has arrived I have no more races for a few months, so it will be nice to get back to exercise for "fun" rather than exercise for "training".
Here's to a Joyful June!
What about you? Was your May magical?
Happy Baking :)

As a new reader to your blog, I must say that I appreciate the re-cap! I can't wait to try some of the recipes from the box this month, especially the risotto! :) Congrats on your PR...there's nothing more gratifying than beating yourself at something.
ReplyDeleteGreat recap Lisa! It looks like you had a great month. Well done on all your racing, and I'm so enjoying all your recipes - the african vegetable stew was really, really good! You've really inspired me to kickstart my summer racing plan. Here's to a joyful June, for sure! :)
