Friday fun

Training

I woke up this morning feeling 100 times better so felt there was no need to cancel my pre-work gym plans. I fit in 10km on the stationary bike, followed by an upper body weights and abs session, before hitting up the showers and heading into work.

I actually had a Friday that disappeared quite quickly (ahhh don't we all love those) and before I knew it it was home time.

Mr BBB is out this evening so I decided not to rush home after work. Rather, I changed back into my workout clothes and headed out for a 5km run around the lake.

Perhaps I was feeling a little guilty over missing yesterday's run or perhaps I just felt like running? Or could it be the fact that I just signed up for a 16km trail race next weekend? Yes that might just be the reason ;) Not to mention a great way to “shake out” of the working week and enter the weekend!

Dinner

I was flying solo for dinner tonight, and ended up with quite a random plate of flavours.

Two types of sushi: inari and avocado.

Some soggy greek salad :(

Made all the more better by a side of strawberries :)

Times those strawberries by about 20 ;)

And in completely unrelated news, I am pleased to hear that Coles has  announced a plan to phase out the use of sow stalls by its producers by the end of 2014, with the first shipments of cage-free pork beginning next year. Check out the story here. It is so wonderful to see a large retailer in Australia taking leadership on this issue - the only shame is that it will take so long to implement!

Well I think the couch + some chocolate are calling my name! All in moderation right….

Happy Baking :)

  5. Chocolate and moderation? Those two words *never* belong in the same sentence! :P Did you make that sushi? If so, I'll have to ask my guru (that's you, in case it's not entirely obvious...) where she got inari from!
