Joyful June

Another month has passed, and we now find ourselves in the second half of the year.

I really am so grateful that I have this little blog to remind me of all the things I accomplished this month…

Did you miss my previous monthly recaps?
We have well and truly hit Winter in Australia, with frosty mornings and cool day-time temperatures. This has resulted in a lot of time indoors, baking and cooking to my heart's content.

I checked off lots of ingredients from the Mystery Box this month, including zucchini, sprouts, quinoa, kaffir lime, kidney beans, mushrooms, sunflower seeds, chilli, besan, potato, rosemary, polenta, pinto beans, basil, cheese, seeds and capers. Wow...try saying those quickly!

In fitness news - I ran 50km and biked 112km. I also fit in 7 strength training sessions and 5 yoga classes. I must admith that I am loving having yoga and strength training  in my workout routine over the cooler months… time to build some muscles I say:)

Overall this was another fantastic month. While it may have been filled with lots of frosty mornings, it was also filled with family, fun and fresh ingredients.

Here's to a Jubilant July!

What about you? Was your June joyful?

Happy baking :)

But squee, you saw Cats and Rock the Ballet? Are you as sad as I am that the National Ballet doesn't come to Canberra anymore? Little blighters :P Okay, I'm at least having to look at your Cats post now... must see if you mentioned a favourite song from it... :)
