Saturday in the sun

Thankyou for all your wonderful suggestions for the saffron and snow peas! I am making my final decision tomorrow – and will be cooking with the ingredients next week! Feel free to add any more suggestions you may have.

Well what a wonderful day today has been.  Not to mention the fact that I made some progress on my ‘to do’ list:

  • Dinner (last night) with friends
  • A swim + run combination
  • A friend's 30th birthday party tonight
  • (Hopefully) a bike ride and yoga session on Sunday
  • Grocery planning and shopping
  • A "special" dinner on Sunday night with the family
  • Today started with a 6km run in the sun.

Along one of my favourite running routes.

Followed by a 1100m swim – during which I had a lane all to myself! Gotta love that.

This afternoon we stopped by the ANU Food Co-op …

    And picked up these goodies.

I must say that I am quite keen to try this black bean pasta! As well as this mung bean pasta…

Time to go and get ready for tonight’s bday party! I hope you are all having a great Saturday!

What about you? Have you ever tried wheat alternative pastas? Do you have a favourite?

    Happy Baking :)

    11. Aaaah!! How have I been an ANU student for four years and had no idea this place existed? Where is it, my new food shopping guru?!

    13. I have to look for black bean pasta-I can't wait to read your review on it.
I have tried corn pasta and quinoa pasta. They were both surprisingly good. I find rice pasta to be rather sticky but it's good in Asian type dishes.

    18. Wow! I'm going to go but them all! You have to tell me how great they taste. I usually just use San Remo gfree pasta as it's pretty good, but I carry packets of Changs ready noodles in my car for emergencies.
