Hi there blog friends!
Thankyou all so much for your lovely comments on my holiday posts. I have been super slack in reading blogs / commenting over the last few weeks, as you probably noticed, but the lure of fun in the sun was all too much. Forgive me??
Mr BBB and I had such an amazing time over the last few weeks. From the country, to the beach, to the mountains... Australia really is a gorgeous country! You can check out our adventures here:

The only complaint we had was that the trip was not long enough!
We returned home yesterday after a fairly uneventful drive. I think our cats were happy to see us - although you can never really tell with cats ;)
However my holiday started to feel like a distant memory when I arrived at work today and found that a ton of new work had landed on my desk while I was away. I suspect it will be a busy few months coming up!
But in more exciting news......Spring has sprung! And I could not be happier. Spending the last week in a warm climate has reminded me how much I love the warmer weather. I would take shorts and slip flops over scarves and beanies any day!
And a new month = another monthly recap! Did you miss my previous recaps?

- February Frolics
- March Madness

- Magical May
- Joyful June
- Jubilant July
August was certainly an adventurous month!
There were team races....
Chilly morning runs....
And some runs in the sun!
There were road trips...
Time spent in the stocks...
And time spent in the country...
Amazing performances...
Before our trip away, the Mystery Box also provided much needed inspiration for some of our evening meals. I ticked off 7 ingredients during August including paprika, honey, pineapple, cayenne, ginger, eggs and parsley. Check out the Mystery Box page for links to what was created with these ingredients!
And in fitness news, despite our holiday I still managed to run 68km and bike 84km, and fit in 4 strength training sessions and 3 yoga classes. Not to mention tennis playing, water sliding and and beach walking! Overall - not a bad month - but I am keen to kick it up a notch this month.....
Here's to a Sensational September!
What about you? What is your favourite season? Mine would definitely be summer!!!
Happy Baking :)

Greetings from the other side of the globe! :) I just stumbled upon your blog, and have enjoyed reading (and looking at the great pictures!) so far.
ReplyDeleteOh, and my favorite season would be fall - no doubt about it. :)
Its still odd to me that you're moving into spring when I'm pulling out fall decorations & sweaters! Fall is def. my favorite-I cannot wait to pull out my fur lined loafers!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite season and it's almost to Oregon!
ReplyDeleteFall is definitely my favorite season. As much as I love the long summer days, it's just way too hot for me. The fall is perfect (and so pretty!) I love jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt weather best of all!
ReplyDeleteGlad to have you back!
I love fall the best so I am so excited that September is finally here! DC is way too hot and humid in the summer, plus I miss pumpkin and apples!
ReplyDeleteWhat vacation is ever long enough?
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy fall. I love that the weather is starting to cool off, but it's not so cold that you can't stand to be outside.
Summer is my favourite for sure, I love feeling the hot sun on my skin! Through my suncream of course :)
ReplyDeleteIt sure has been a busy month for you, how on earth are you going to kick it up a notch?
ReplyDeleteI love being adventurous! I've really tried to embrace it the past couple of weeks and I'm loving it! It looks like you had a busy but awesome month of August! Enjoying easing back from holiday!
ReplyDeleteI love spring the air is crisp, the sun feels great and the sprouting greenery is amazing!
ReplyDeleteYour trip looks fun!!
My favourite season is also Summer! I can't wait for it. I hope it's a long one after this cold Winter! ;)
