Project Food Blog – Challenge 1

Training: Swim 1.6km / Run 6km

I am sure  by now you have heard about Foodbuzz's new and exciting competition to find the next food blog super star.

Challenge #1 is simple: introduce yourself and explain why you believe you’ve got what it takes to be the winner. And we all know that I like a challenge ;)

I have a title. And a job description. But too often when others ask what I do I reply with such a generic answer that they find out very little about who I actually am.

It got me to thinking about the 10 year old me. The girl who loved playing tennis, hiking with her dad and baking cakes with her mum. A young girl with a sense of adventure, amazed by all the opportunities that life seemed to offer.

Did the 10 year old me know that one day she would be a wife and a fur-mum?

That she would become a runner,

A cyclist....

A reluctant swimmer,

And a lover of triathlons?

That she would travel,

have many adventures,

And always enjoy a challenge?

That she would develop a passion for food and cooking,

and strongly believe food should be colourful,

fresh,

healthy,

Yet tasty.

I think the 10 year old me would be very happy to know that she became an adult with a strong passion for food, fitness and life. And to realise that her sense of adventure never waived, and if anything, only became stronger.

Adventures, that I am thrilled to be able to share with you all on a daily basis.

Happy Baking :)
