Hi there! Thankyou all for your lovely comments about my 2010 recap. After scheduling that post, Mr BBB and I jumped in the car, drove to the in-laws’ farm, and spent the next few days with our friends and their two adorable kids.
Technology free. No phone and no internet.
And it was a glorious start to the new year.
Just beaches.
Sunshine and swimming.
More beaches…
More sunshine. More swimming ;)
Post-swimming munchies…
Reading and….
G & Ts ;)
Giggles…
Tasty food…
Eaten alfresco with a view…
More G & Ts…
And new friends…
Of the equine variety.
Champagne
And a bucket load of fresh prawns to see in the New Year.
We had such a wonderful time – playing in the sun, swimming, eating and drinking to our hearts content.
Sadly, it was over too quickly, and we have returned home to spend a few days at home before we start back at work later this week. That is sure to be a shock to the system…
But for now… CHEERS and WELCOME to 2011!
It sure is going to be a fantastic year. I just know it!
(PS. Due to a lack of internet access and a houseful of guests, I have been rather slack at leaving comments on your blog posts. I have, however, been keeping up to date with most of everyone’s adventures and wish you all a very happy new year! xx)
Happy Baking :)

How brilliant to have been near the beach on these hot hot hot days! Also.. horsie!!! :D Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful.. absolutely lovely. I haven't been near a beach in way too long!
ReplyDeleteAlso, what exactly did the 'bogan burger' entail?? If its composition is as trashy as its name, I'm pretty sure it's something I'd enjoy! :D
@ Lizzi - hehe we did ask, of course, and were told that it was a regular beef burger with the addition of a potato cake/scallop!

ReplyDeleteI really need a few days without technology, but it would drive me nuts and I would be so uptight the whole time! No reading blogs? Arhh!
There is a bogan burger at a pub in Melbourne, it has bacon, beef, chicken schnitzel and a potato cake on it, among other things. I've got a photo of it --> http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs261.snc1/8820_523842440520_212900114_31522286_2144929_n.jpg
