Photos, plans and prawns

I am so sad that today is our final day of this extra long weekend. It sure has been wonderful exercising in daylight, spending time in the kitchen, and working on a few tasks around the home.

After yesterday’s epic photo organising session, today I hit the shops to buy some extra frames and get some photos printed. Because currently we have a large hallway that is a blank canvas, in every sense of the word.

And also a very plain study!

So now that I finally have some prints / photos and frames, over the next few weeks I will have to channel my inner Young House Love, and move these photos from the ground to the wall.

Photos aside, and after a trip to the gym for a Body Pump class, Mr BBB and I also spent the better part of the afternoon walking around our current very “un” landscaped block talking over what we would like to do with it.

A few hours later, and we had created a workable plan that we can hopefully get costed in the next few weeks.

Once the retaining walls and garden edges have been built, we hope to do most of the planting ourselves! For two people that have never really ‘gardened’ it should be quite the learning experience, but hopefully fun too!

To say goodbye to what has been a wonderful long weekend, we kept dinner simple tonight.
Prawns cooked in a rich tomato sauce…

Sprinkled with feta…

And a good amount of parsley and marjoram.

Kinda a simple version of saganaki prawns.

Served on a pile of polenta (my latest favourite!)

Back to work (and reality) tomorrow!

Day 6 – MOVE it, TONE it, DRINK it
  • MOVE it – Body Pump (1hr)
  • TONE it – Sit-ups (50 crunches) (*edited - not 560 as I accidentally wrote lol)
  • DRINK it – 2.2L (a big improvement! I was actually craving water today – which I expect was the result of not enough yesterday!)

What about you? Are you a green thumb??

Happy Baking :)

  1. I am the opposite of a green thumb - which often confuses people because I have a degree in floristry (it means I can arrange them not grow them)

  2. I can't really plan the landscaping, but I can definitely keep the flowers and plants alive! :)

  11. Those prawns look great! We've just through the whole hanging photos on the wall thing. Spent a fortune on 3M hooks (expensive little things!)
