1. The other day I impulse bought rhubarb.
Not chocolate, not a magazine, not any of those other little items they have at the checkout.
Rhubarb.
With one thing in mind – stewed rhubarb and apple. The bonus being that Mr BBB hates it so I get it all to myself. A clever impulse buy if I ever did hear one.
2. On Wednesday I grabbed some of our free weights and did my first upper body weights session at home since having C.
All I can say is “ouch”.
I thought carrying around a baby for most of the day would have kept my upper body strong, but the DOMS says otherwise. Hurts so good though!
3. I am by no means ‘fashionable’, but I have my eye on a striped blazer – similar to this one.
I see a trip to the shops sometime soon….
4. C rolled over from tummy to her back for the first time on Wednesday. But I am beginning to think that it was by accident as, despite my best encouragement, she is yet to get anywhere near doing it again.
Only time will tell.
5. This weekend looks like quite a good one. Rugby, a ride, a friend for afternoon tea and my little brother arrives Sunday night. Bring it on!

That is definitely one of the more unusual impulse buys I've heard of ... enjoy!
ReplyDeletehehe I love your impulse buy Lisa! :P Definitely not a magazine or chocolate! :P
ReplyDeleteI'd rather the striped blazer than rhubarb! Actually I've never cooked with it before but love the taste.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend doing all those activities and yay for newfound baby skills:)
Have a great weekend Lisa! Love rhubarb :)
ReplyDeletebaby rolling and rhubarb all to yourself sound good to me - I think babies sometimes do something once to satisfy themselves they can do it and then they bask in the glory for months - and they don't do anything they are told to do (or maybe that is just mine!)
ReplyDeleteRhubarb can only mean crumble! I did a dash of sherry in my crumble makes it extra warming too. Jack has rolled from front to back a few times too, as you say though it almost seemed accidental, he doesn't seem to be able to do it willingly! Clever girl, she looks great at tummy time! Xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a great blazer, and crumble all to yourself sounds pretty divine. Enjoy the time with your brother too!
ReplyDeleteThanks, also, for your kind words and thoughts on my blog xx
I loveee striped blazers - where is that one from? It's cute! Here's hoping Charlotte starts rocking the roll very soon!
ReplyDeleteI've never actually had rhubarb so I'm intrigued by this recipe lol. The blazer looks great and Charlotte is just being cheeky :P have a great weekend!
