1. Today I was a ‘parent’ to not one but two babies for a couple hours, when babysitting a friend’s 7 month old. There was lots of play, a walk in the sun, giggles and chain-reaction tears (none of which were mine, I am pleased to report…)
And I also got to experience what it is like to have a baby that takes a bottle!! Quite the novelty!
2. Our new Christmas tree arrived, and it is taunting me from the box. Yes I am officially already excited for Christmas, and can’t wait to put our new tree up on December 1.
3. I ran a barefoot 1km the other day, and my calves are still hurting. I think I underestimated just how different my stride is when running barefoot (ie. no heel striking). I must dust off my vibrams and do more soon.
4. I am currently reading this book, and it is a perfectly light-hearted read.
Well written, and not too heavy in its subject matter – just the sort of book I am loving at the moment.
5. This caramel sauce.
LOVE.
That is all.
What about you? What are you up to this weekend?

I really enjoyed that book and was sooo disappointed to find out it was the only one she ever wrote :( (Annie Barrows has written a couple of children's books but that's not quite the same.)
ReplyDeleteHow did you buy the Christmas tree? Did you have to visit the showroom in Sydney? Their website has nothing on it except contact details.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret - I ordered it online from the website - http://www.christmaswarehouse.com.au
DeleteAh, thank you. I went to the Santas Wholesale website and found nothing at all inspiring. My mum is looking for a new Christmas tree and she'll have lots of fun on that site.
DeleteThank you :-)
Nara Candle Festival!!
