While I cook dinner most nights, sometimes I get a craving that I just can’t shake.
And on Saturday, I had one such craving.
For a big antipasto platter, and a glass of vino, shared with my loved one while watching a DVD after the little Miss went to bed. An impromptu date night if you will…
And, hands down, it was a simply perfect way to spend a Saturday evening.
I went crazy at the markets earlier in the day, picking up an array of treats to adorn our platter.
Marinated bocconcini, marinated vegetables, stuffed peppers…
Italian prosciutto, fennel and garlic salami, hot sopressa and smoked chicken breast.
Served with some hummus and rice crackers – and we had ourselves quite the feast as we giggled through Sacha Baren Cohen’s latest pic – The Dictator.
And yes – I also enjoyed a well timed glass of vino. A 2009 petit verdot to be precise.
And it was delicious!
What about you? Seen any good movies lately? I feel like I am so ‘behind’ in my movie watching!
